Original Email sent to various Toyota Car Dealerships:
Dear Sir or Madam:
My family and I have always driven a Toyota and will never drive anything else.
I have two questions and a suggestion:
The questions are: How fast can the Toyota Prius go? Does Toyota currently offer any purchase incentives or rebates?
My suggestion is this:
I think the slogans for Toyota "Oh What a Feeling" and ""Get the Feeling" are somewhat outdated.
I've always thought Ford had great slogans for their cars like "Have You Driven a Ford Lately?" and "Quality is Job 1." Even Mazda had a great slogan "Mazda - It Just Feels Right"
I think the new slogan for Toyota should be… wait for it…
"Have You Driven a Ford Lately?"
Think about it. It could be the world's first sarcastic slogan! I don't' know if the Ford company would have a problem with Toyota using the same slogan as them. But since you will be using the slogan facetiously it might be legal.
"Quality is Job1" they say? Well I say "Quality is Job 27". Just behind "Making money, making money, making money etc.
Please write back to let me know what you think of my New Slogan for Toyota.
Sincerely,
Ian Brandy
Response from Fowler Toyota, Norman, Oklahoma :
The Prius goes 110 mph. There are no incentives on the Prius at this
time.
You will get $2000 tax write-off if you buy before the end of the year.
By the way we loved your comments about the slogans. You are a pretty
creative person. When are you going to try to make it in to look at the
vehicles?
