Response from Fuji-Hakone Guest House, Sengokuhara, Japan :
Dear William san,
Thank you for your kindly and interesting e-mail. You have a very good sense of humore. We couldn't stop laughing while we read your e-mail:) It's very fun to imagine that Bongo trying to walk while wearing a diaper. Ooops, sorry!! We appreciate your training though.
Firstable, we answer your questions.
1. Yes, you can buy diapers in Japan, even near by our Guest House.
2. We have a room available for you for both March and June.
3. We haven't had a any experience with animals before in our Guest House. This will be our first time to have an animal. Therefore we're very excited, on the other hand, we have many concerns though. We really want you and Bongo to feel comfortable to stay here, so we'd love to prepare as much as possible before you came:)
Now, we have some more questions for you.
1, Have you traveled in Japan before with Bongo? Do you have any friends or company that could assit you to travel in Japan?
We worry about if Bongo can take a train and buses in Japan. We think we have to call and check the train and bus companies if they can have Bongo as human. Otherwise, your transportaion would be only taxi, which is very expensive.
2. How long do you plan to stay in our Guest House? We thought you told us that for a week. Is this correct?
3. Is Bongo shy or friendly to other people? Has she traveled to overseas before?
We guess that's all for our qustion for now. If you get some more questions about us or anything about Japan, please feel free to ask us.
Warm regards,
Fuji-Hakone Guest House
Email sent to Fuji-Hakone Guest House, Sengokuhara, Japan :
Hello my friends at the Fuji-Hakone Guest House,
Here are the answers to your questions:
1. I have never traveled in Japan before with Bongo, although we
have traveled throughout Western Canada with our comedy act.
I guess taking a Taxi wouldn’t be too bad as long as chimp-fare
in Japan isn’t too expensive. I assume chimp-fare would cost
somewhere between child-fare and Golden Retriever – fare, since
a chimp’s intelligence lies roughly between that of a child and
a Golden Retriever.
2. We would probably stay for two weeks.
3. Bongo can be shy at times. This behaviour is seen as pompous
and arrogant by some but it’s really because she’s bashful.
Bongo’s behaviour has improved lately and she’s gotten out of
her Avril Lavigne phase. Now her personality alternates between
a “pre – coke addiction” Whitney Houston and Pink circa the
Mizunderstood album.
Bongo’s never traveled overseas before, although she has been to
the Chinatown in Vancouver (she loved the Chicken Chow Mein).
She doesn't know how to use chopsticks, however. I think a chimp
using chopsticks would be a sight to behold.
I’ll write you again in the Spring once I get my schedule in
order.
Bye for now,
William
